Celebrate!

It was a perfect fall day that started with a frosty morning and a blue-sky, sunshiny afternoon. Falling leaves are piling up at the base of the trees and Halloween decor is everywhere. It must be late October and time to celebrate another birthday for Tyler and me. We sent our packages off and hope Elder Lindsay has a great day! Steve's family joined us for our celebration here. I got calls from Tim and Brett and Skyped with Matt's family.

Game and chat after a great birthday dinner of pork tenderloin, twice-baked potatoes, broccoli, corn, green salad and orange glazed dinner rolls. Great dinner and great company. 

Time to get down to business. This is the first year for apple crisp and not chocolate cake. It worked great. Warm apple crisp, vanilla ice cream, and caramel topping created a memorable birthday experience.

Kaylee helped lead the traditional birthday song, but her attention was directed to those flickering candles.

One big breath and...

They're all out, my wish may come true, but  Kaylee blames me for spooiling all the fun with the candles.

Grandpa has held the little princess long enough. Grandma says it's her turn.

A collage of pictures of Steve's family will get the honored spot on the refrigerator door. We've got more room on the refrigerator door to post more pictures if you have any to send to us.
