Vernal and Flaming Gorge

This building was built to cover the exposed bones embedded in the rock on the side of this hill.

Dinosaur skeleton from bones found at this site. Dinosaur skeletons from this site are on display all over the world.

This is one big trout... Utah State record holder

The Flaming Gorge Dam, front side.

There is some good fishing on the Green River below the dam. These trout are about 30-36 inches long and there are an estimated 1,500 of them per mile of river.

The back side of the dam, with the visitor center on the far side.

Several miles behind the dam.

We saw a herd of big horn sheep.

This is a view of the Green River above the Flaming Gorge Dam from a visitor center.

We spent the weekend here with the Healy couple. They serve with us at the Church Office Building. They served a humanitarian mission to Indonesia, now serve in the Missionary Department, and will next serve in Frankfurt, Germany on another humanitarian mission. They are great friends and we love them.
