Elder and Sister Carroll are from Australia and are friends with a member of our home ward who is also from Australia.
Mom is in charge of preparing and plating Thanksgiving salad for 90 tomorrow. We went to a big store along the lines of a Costco and got a lot of lettuce, dried cranberries, almonds, and some sugar. Mom made her candied almond and Crasin salad with her special salad dressing. It was great! so many came up to her to tell her they had three and four servings. Mom was happy.
This is mom and Sister Goodall, her visiting teaching companion. They worked together on the salad and a few other things for the dinner.
This is the cultural hall and the settings for 90 people including the area and mission presidency, senior couples that work in the area and mission offices and missionaries serving in the local area.
A look at the place settings. Mom plated all of the salads.
Lots of turkey to carve, potatoes to mash, stuffing, carrots, green beans, and rolls to prepare for the serving table.
Mom cutting the apple and pumpkin pies. There were also cheesecakes, custard pies, bars and cookies.

The kitchen crew were great; Elder and Sister Canfield and Elder and Sister Bateson. Sister Canfield is a professional interior decorator and she designed the decor. Sister Bateson was a hostess for special events at the Joseph Smith building. We got talent!
