We enjoyed a Cafe Rio enchilada together last night and had a quick breakfast and Matt was ready to go. Bags packed, karts assembled and loaded, lunch in hand and with an optimistic heart Matt was out the door and back on the road. He'll pick up Mark, his traveling buddy, go to the freight warehouse to get more karts, stop by the SLC Ferrari dealership... and then get on the way to Las Vegas.
In typical Matt style, we shared lots of warm loving hugs and good-byes.
It's always hard to say good-bye, but nice to know we'll see him again Saturday or Sunday, on his way home.
Mom is making sure his lunch bag is on top of things and in easy reach.
It was a brrrright sunshiny day in our hearts as he drove away.
