Leavenworth Christmas Lights

Matt stayed at our home Monday night on his way to Las Vegas for a trade show. It was so good to see him after a year and a half. We left the next morning for Leavenworth and traveled 13 hours Tuesday in clear weather on dry roads to be with Ellen and the boys while Matt is away. Wednesday we spent time with the boys reading and watching videos.

 Thursday evening we went downtown Leavenworth to watch the Christmas lights get turned on. We enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate and live entertainment before the lighting.

 We got home and prepared dinner. Ellen had chicken broccoli and rice ready, James made the juice and set the table. Everyone pitched in to do what they could to get everybody and everything ready.

 Aftera great dinner we gathered around the table to help James and Scott with their homework and practice their spelling words.

Todd and Mom worked on where to break the candy cane so he could have some today and the rest in his hot chocolate tomorrow.
