Rebalance Life Up the Canyon

When I need a break from the frustrations of people, problems, stress, or the busyness of life I go up to the canyon and take my camera. I have hundreds (maybe thousands) of pictures of the same things, but it helps me to see again, the beauty of life around me, and feel the joy those plain and simple things bring to my soul.

A meadow with grasses and flowers starting to grow again after being covered with freezing snow all winter long.

The rivers have fish swimming in them again.

Some of the wildflowers are blooming. Most will wait until next month to show their colors.

Wish you could hear the roar of the rushing waters too.

Oregon grape is in bloom in the forest and in our yard.

The plants on the forest floor are just starting to grow again.

The spring green leaves have only been out for a little over a week.

Lots of greens with the white snows quickly receding to the tops of the mountains.

The tree grew as close to the water as possible. Now it is hanging on to the land by its roots so it isn't swept away.

Mt. Timpanogos from Tibble Creek Canyon. A picnic park covered grass and wildflowers provided by Mother Nature, with a gorgeous view of river, mountains, trees, and sky... and filled with lots of beautiful critters.

Hungry moose browsing in the lake weeds.

A mother and her calf in Tibble Creek reservoir.

It worked again. A few hours up the canyon puts everything back in perspective. I am so glad to live so close to the refreshing sights and sounds of nature.
