YW Memorial Day Breakfast

Since Mom is the new MIA Maid adviser, she was involved in the YW fund-raising breakfast this morning. Here are a few pictures of the event. She should have plenty of help with 18 MIA Maids in her class.

Mom was there an hour early to help set things up and this is a few minutes after the breakfast was due to start. Great participation... over 200 showed up and most of the ward was out-of-town for the holiday weekend.

The usual fare: scrambled eggs - prepared by the Young Men, pancakes & sausage - prepared by the Young Women. The rest, drinks, utensils, syrup, etc., were set our for self-service. There were games for the kids after they had eaten... softball, ring toss, arts and crafts.

Mom's going to love breakfast at Girls Camp!

The preparation table is all smiles. Are they laughing at what just fell into the batter?

 Here is the hungry/happy hoard.

Familiar faces to Matt and Ellen... Sent their love and greetings.

Mom working with Mitch from one of my home teaching families. I think they spent more time fishing out shells than breaking the eggs. A great learning experience and no one died from the breakfast today.

Our neighbor cooking the sausage patties on the griddle.

Mom keeping the cast iron oiled up.

It was a brrrrrright sunshiny day!

Now on to the family picnic ==>
