Water Balloons, Movies and Pancakes

Ryan, McKay, Bryson and Brady came over for a little fun and an overnight with grandma and grandpa. The first thing the boys did after they arrived was get into their swimsuits and start filling balloons. Thanks to Matt we could fill a lot of water balloons quickly with his filler device. It didn't take long and we were in the back armed with water balloons, and ready to get wet.

 Eager boys, ready to open-fire on each other.

 

 First round done... time to reload.

 Now on to the water balloon cannon. Brady loaded her up and fired a balloon 75 yards downfield and splashed Bryson. Great shot Brady!

 McKay is on a mission to destroy all water balloons in his territory.

 Ryan takes aim at McKay a 100 yards away and... McKay destroys it!

 Bryson was having a great time and held the record for distance at about 120 yards, until Ryan and McKay teamed up to stretch the cannon a little more and go about 150 yards. Bryson still holds the record for a single-person shot.

 Brady got his fair share of shots with the cannon. Most of the time the cannon shot him.

 The flowers in th yard are looking good this year.

 The rains in mid-July really helped green up the commons lawns.

Smoke from the fires in the Oquirrh Mountains to the west of us filled the sky with smoke that made an eerie orange glow that night.

 The nest morning it was time for grandma's famous blueberry panckaes... and by popular demand a return of the chocolate chip pancakes.

McKay was there to whip up the batter and learn grandma's secret recipe.
