Mom missed a couple of steps coming down the stairs last night, so we went to the emergency room to find out why it was so painful. It was a broken bone in her foot, so they splinted it and gave her a pair of crutches and said, "keep it elevated, no weight on it, and see a doctor for further evaluation." We'll call for an appointment on Monday and hope to see the doc by the end of the week.
Mom never complains and is not one to be down long. She was doing fine this morning when we got home from the ER, but she is taking a well-deserved nap this afternoon.
A little TV, but this only lasted for a few minutes, then she was up and about the kitchen and supervising me on the wash. It was painful, but she never complained.
