Lisa's Birthday to Remember

Our beautiful Lisa turned 17 last week and she had a birthday to remember. She receive some special gifts,  birthday Bazuza bars (grandma's recipe), hugs, and the birthday song. The celebration started on Friday and extended through Sunday dinner... but there was something else that was very special and totally unexpected.

Ryan and McKay were having a great time too.

Brady surprised Lisa with a special time to play with his helicopter... while Steve got the big surprise ready.

A new car! It was hidden in grandpa's garage for a week before the big reveal.

 

Amazement and excitement can only begin to express her feelings. Lisa was totally taken by surprise and "Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh, can't believe it!" 

...the feeling of excitement, amazement and gratitude went on and on...

Once she was in the drivers seat the brothers loaded into the car, ready for a ride.

But wait... one more thing to make it a cool ride, drop the top. "I can't believe it! It's a convertible!"

Out the driveway and down the street she went with the biggest smile a 17 year-old can have. We could hear her two blocks away yelling, "I can't believe it, I have a car!!!"

Dad and Mom savored the sweet joy of the surprise and delight of Lisa.

Lisa and her Dad had a little one-on-one time to talk and share some wise counsel and special feelings.
