Mission Call

The big white envelope from the office of the First Presidency arrived today. It contains the direction of our lives for the next 18 months. Where will we go and what will we do? We have had some wonderful adventures in Egypt, Dominican Republic and the Philippines. What is next?

The answer to our questions about the next 18 months are inside this envelope

 Mom opened it and I read the letter... "You are hereby called to serve as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You are assigned to labor in the Family and Church History Headquarters Mission in Salt Lake City, Utah. Your primary assignment is to labor in the Welfare Services Department as a missionary coordinator while living at home."

 Wow! We never expected that! We were sure that we would be serving out of the country somewhere, but no the Lord says He needs us downtown Salt Lake at the headquarters building.

  Let me see that! I can't believe it!

 We are so excited to serve the Lord together, wherever we are called to labor.
