We anxiously awaited the mail delivery all morning. While we were eating lunch Marlene heard the mail truck go by the house and I jumped up and saw the mail truck just moving away from our mailbox. We knew the big white envelopes with our calls were in the mailbox, but we calmly finished our lunch. Once finished, I grabbed the camera and we walked out to the mailbox. I dropped the mailbox door and saw nothing but junk mail... no big white envelopes!

I came right into the house and called the missionary department, explained the situation and the brother on the other end of the line did a quick check of me and then found our file and said, "The brethren issued the call last Friday and it should be in the mail to you tomorrow." There you go... the call was issued last Friday, not mailed. Those big white envelopes should arrive in another 48 hours, on Wednesday.
We'll get family together here and on Skype about 7:30 PM (Mountain Time) Wednesday to open the envelopes and start the new adventure. We're both excited and nervous because we know there are new friends, experiences and challenges ahead, but we are very aware that some assignments can really be challenging. We know that they are all a part of building the Lord's Kingdom, blessing His children and our small sacrifice will bring great blessings to us and our family as we go forth in faith to serve the Lord.
We can't wait to hear. Ethan will be at school taking a test when you open it so we won't be able to Skype in. :( I was just looking and we don't even have your Skype name on our list. We will defiantly be checking your blog as soon as the kiddos are in bed.
