Final Boating This Year

This could be the last time this season we get out on the water, so when Steve called to see if we could go on a moments notice there was no question... we're ready! 15 minutes later we were there to get the boat hitched up and on the way to the lake.

The boys helped Steve take the tarps off and were on the boat drying and polishing it with towels.

Brady and McKay were excited about going out on the boat and loved to share stories of last time they went out.

Steve has mastered the art of backing up and hitching the boat on the first try.

Down the road we went with a FHE song..." I Hope They Call Me On A Mission" and an opening prayer to ask for a safe time out on the water and a special blessing on Tyler on his mission.

We're at the boat ramp and I got the back-in duty, while Steve unhooked the boat and floated off. I parked the car and trailer and joined them at the end of the dock.

A quick wave before we leave the dock...

...then away we go. We're feeling the excitement....

... but we have to clear the no wake area before...

...Steve can hit the accelerator and we feel the surge of speed, spray and wind.

Grandma loves it all! Especially being together with the family.

Soon the land is in the distance and we can...

A panorama view from American Fork Canyon to Springville.

...take a moment to inflate the tube and get ready for the wet fun.

Ryan is the first to get on the tube.

Ryan screams, Yeaah! as Steve opens the throttle and away we go!

This is what we've been waiting for. Ryan is loving it!

McKay and Brady are excited as they anticipate their turn on the tube.

O.K. McKay, hold on tight.

McKay's first try ended in a nose-dive, so we all shouted, "move back on the tube!"

We circled and he climbed back up on the tube to try it again.

Brady and Ryan ridin' the waves.

Great ride McKay!

Now it's time for Brady and Ryan to team up on the tube.

We heard screams of delight and lots of laughs. It was a successful launch on a beautiful evening.

What a ride! We loved it and we didn't fall off!

Time to get back on the boat and share the stories of the last ride.

McKay has to get wet again, so...

 ...Kersplash!

 Ahhh! That felt so good!

McKay on a rough ride. Hang on cowboy!

Brady was standing on the edge debating whether to jump in or not...

Then McKay came to the rescue and helped Brady make his decision... because that's what brothers do! Right?!

Brady hurled off the boat into the water...

...another big Kersplash! This time from Brady.

He disappeared from sight for a moment and then he bobbed to the surface with a big grin and swam back to the boat.

 Ryan's up for another ride.

Ryan was riding too far forward on the tube and took a nose dive just before this clip, so Steve is coming around so Ryan can get on the tube for another ride. This will be the final ride of the evening... maybe the last of the season, so Steve wants to make this a memorable ride.

It's a picture perfect evening on the lake.

Ryan got his ride in and had a spectacular tumbling dismount from the tube to end the evening with a great story to tell family and friends about.

Time to deflate the tube and call it a day.

It was a great time on the lake and we shared stories of the fun rides, the wipe-outs and the adventures all the way home.

The sun was setting and the mountains were starting to glow with the sunset red that we know so well. I backed up the trailer and Steve latched the boat on the trailer and we were on our way home with lots of memories to last us until next year.

Home again, home again, jiggity jog... Thanks again Steve for a fun time with you and the kids!
