Young Elder L Masters Sewing & Ironing

Gotta keep up his energy, so we had a burger and fries at In-N-Out. Grandma's got some learnin' work for him to do back at the house.

Tyler is all smiles after a great lunch. Yep, I think he's "grown a foot or two". He told us the story of the time he had a burger with 7 meat patties... and wish he had made it with 8. This man is a carnivore.

First Lesson: Sewing on a Button
Grandma demonstrates first.

Tyler is focused on learning the art of button sewing.

Now it's your turn, Ty. Talk about focused... he got the needle threaded on the second try! I couldn't even see the hole in the needle.

Insert the toothpick, poke the needle in here, around the toothpick and out there.

Got it!
What's next... ironing!

Lesson 2: Ironing a White Shirt
A little demo from grandma...

...then get those hands out of your pockets and get to work on that shirt.

A helping hand from grandma to make sure it is done just right.

Great work Tyler. I'll be wearing this shirt to the temple on Wednesday.

It take a lot of time and it's a lot of work getting the wrinkles out of this wrinkle-free shirt.

Down to the final swipes with the iron and...

...perfect! No scorch marks and wrinkle-free. Great work future Elder Lindsay!
