Around Tim's Place

We flew into Minneapolis to spend some time with the kids and grandkids before we are on our way to the Philippines. Our first stop was Tim and Marnie's family. I got some time in with the boys playing hockey and football in the front yard and doing lots of fun stuff in the basement. Grandma got creative and created some fun animals out of vegetables with Maggie.

Jack is really into gaming on the Wii and...

...on his favorite fishing site.

Grandma and Maggie wash up before surgery... on the vegetable critters.

Maggie has a book that shows the vegetable animals and really wanted to make them. So she and grandma teamed up to make it happen.

After a trip to the grocery store they reviewed their plans.

A few careful incisions on the green bell pepper and you have slots for the rabbit teeth.

Jack is the expert tooth selector.

Grandma and Maggie carefully insert the almond teeth into place.

Before you know it we had a whole family of animal friends. A green pepper rabbit, the family Chives and a orange cat. Great work girls!

A closeup of the Chive family.

Floppy eared bunny, shy orange cat and the ever-popular Chive Five.

Mike gave me a minute from his game time for a quick picture, then back to ball, puck or boomerang.

After a little glacial melt-back, Tim took advantage of a nice day to get those Christmas lights off the trees. Life in Minnesota follows the pace of Mother Nature's seasons.

  1. Yea, you're back!!! Did you get the camera you wanted? Dan said I have a new camera coming in the mail for Mother's Day. Maybe it has a screen big enough for me to see it.
