AT THE LAKE, DAYS SEVEN AND EIGHT

On Wednesday, day seven, Tim went back to Minneapolis for an appointment with his surgeon. We spent most of the day inside playing games with the kids.

On Thursday, day eight we started the day with a little miniature golf at Pirates Cove. It was a beautiful course with lots of skull water falls, streams with pirates fighting, pond with a pirate ship and pirates in the trees all along the way.  The kids and adults had a fun time.

We selected our weapons (putter) of choice and headed to the first hole. The kids had the knack of it right away. Golf is a crazy game that can start out looking easy, but bring one to tears down the road.

Mom lines it up and parks the ball a few inches from the hole. She mus have been practicing at Relief Society.

Tim takes a shot at the first hole and gets it right where he wants it... on the green.

We played through caves with stored powder cages, and rushing waterfalls. Jack showed us how it is done. There was an unprotected edge that dropped off into a stream on his right. No one dropped a ball into the water here... amazing.

We had to walk the plank to play this hole.

On board the pirate ship we had our challenges, but Maggie had a way with the ball.

Maggie lined it up and focused through the noise of the waterfalls and the pirate cannons firing into the sinking ship in the background, to make her putt!  Great shot Maggie! Duck!! here comes a cannon ball.

Up the hill and past the waterfall to the next challenge at Pirates Cove.

Tim made it look easy, dropping his shot again and again.

We beat the pirates and survived the course with a smile on our face.

Some did better than others... the stock aren't so bad.

As soon as we got down to the water Mike was ready for fun and took a ride on the wave runner with Papa (grandpa Bigelow).

After golf, lunch and a ride Mike was ready for a swim. Tim and Mikey we the first to get in the water.

Out to the floating dock and jump back into the water. Great summer fun in the water.

Mike makes the leap off the floating dock into Dads arms.

Lots of smiles all around. Time to dry off and get ready for a boat ride around the lake.

Out on the boat for a cruise around upper and lower Lake Sylvan. We were hosted to the ride by the Bigelows and had some cousins with us too. We saw several Loons but I wasn't able to get a good picture.

This is a female Loon, beautiful in her own way but not as fancy coloring as the male.

The kids found better things to do than look at Loons... they built a fort with their towels... Lots of giggles and laughs.

Mom was having fun with the kids and being on the lake...

...and I was having fun taking pictures, except when Mom took the camera out of my hands and took my picture.

Just before we got back the girls jumped out of the boat into the water and swam over to the floating dock. They climbed onto the dock and...

...and all jumped in together.

It was a fun day with the family! Thanks for all your planning and work Tim and Marnie.
