PUMPKIN SELECTION

The season's tradition lives on in Steve's family... selecting a Halloween pumpkin to carve with the skill of a surgeon, or a chef making pumpkin pie. The front yard of this Draper house is filled with great pumpkins fresh from the pumpkin patch. There was no lack of selection here... you just had to find it.

Tyler found some dried Indian corn for fall decorating.

There were enough types of pumpkins to boggle the mind... round, tall, squat, smooth, warty, every shade of orange, with stems and a few without.

Tyler and Ryan found a quiet spot in the shade to search for their own Great Pumpkin.

McKay was one of the first to make his selection. Good choice, McKay!

After several tries, Brady found his favorite.

Jana and Lisa found a little Halloween Spirit in these orange beauties and made their choice.

There were just too many... it made the selection of the season's best a real trick or treat.

I think the one you want is at the bottom of the pile Tyler.

After checking out thousands of possible pumpkin picks...

...everyone makes their final choice, the man was paid and the future Jack-O-lanterns...

...are loaded in the car and taken home for a spooky evening of gory Halloween surgery to transform these benign squash into Halloween Spirit filled, scary Jack-O-Lanterns.

Hey! What happened to my orange pumpkins? McKay did you... give me that magic wand.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
