Today was a big day... McKay came over to do the sand fill between the flagstones on the patio floor. I picked McKay up after school and we headed down the road to the gravel pit. We went into the office and talked with the manager and McKay's smile won his heart and he gave us the sand free!
We filled four buckets with sand and loaded it into the truck.
We backed into the driveway and McKay guided me right up to the edge of the grass. He pulled down the tailgate and dragged the buckets of sand over to me to unload.
The wheelbarrow needed some air in the tire and McKay knew exactly what to do... 30 psi on the dot!
We loaded the wheelbarrow with all our tools and came back to dump the sand into the wheelbarrow and take it back to the patio work area.
McKay shoveled the sand out of the bucket and into his wheelbarrow to carefully shake it onto the cracks.
Once the sand was on the rock cracks we forced it deep into the crack and smoothed the sand off. McKay worked and worked, until grandma came out and said it was time for a break. We had a can of juice and then back to the task at hand.
McKay is a great worker and always has a winning smile.
About two hours after we started McKay finished the project. Grandma loved the smooth surface of the patio. Great work McKay!
