Our first weekend we went to Juan Dolio beach (playa) and went snorkeling. We could see lots of fish and a sting ray. Others saw an eel! The water was warm and that beautiful Caribbean blue. The beaches are all public so we went to a nice beach in front of a few resorts and used their showers when we were done swimming.
After swimming and snorkeling we had lunch at a restaurant across the street from the resorts. It was a great lunch with our new friends the Jones and also a few medical volunteers returning from Haiti.
